BEL Composite Industries Ltd, a part of BEL Group, has received an order from IVM for supply of the Pressure Vessels for Ashdod Desalination Plant of 100 Million cubic meter of fresh water per year.

The project, a 25 years B.O.T., by Mekorot Development and Enterprise Ltd, has been awarded, on a turn- key basis, to IVM, a joint venture of Minrav Holdings Ltd. and Spain's Sacyr Vallehermoso SA unit SADYT. The plant is scheduled to be in full production by December 2013.

BEL will supply more than 5,250 pressure vessels (membrane housings) of 1,200 psi (82 bar) working pressure with 8 membranes each for the first stage and of 450 psi (31 bar) working pressure with 7 membranes each for the second stage. Skids configuration is a multiple ports connection with a combination of 3" and 2.5" side ports.
